OPA has focused its technological and human resources on the development of pressure equipment for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial markets.

A quality design process based on the CODAP construction code in conjunction with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED - 97/23/CE);  assures the user of a fully compliant product manufactured to the regulations currently in force. Full traceability is also assured for the components used in the manufacture of our equipment and material certification to EN 10204 3.1.B is offered for the lid, flange and neck of each manway.

OPA offers a comprehensive range of products :

• High pressure sub assemblies are offered such as top covers for reactor vessels. These can include a pressure manway fit out with a large assortment of process components and  nozzles : including fittings, sight glasses, manometers, safety valves and bursting discs…
• High pressure hygienic manways cleanable by CIP and sustaining pressures up to 20 BAR 290PSI from 100 mm (4") to 600 mm (24") diameters, finished to suit the client's requirements.
• Hygienic atmospheric manways for storage vessels

SAFETY FEATURES :

The complete range of manways can be supplied with the following safety features :

• Mechanical elements such as safety bolts to ease the opening the lid in pressure and/or vacuum environment.
• Coded detectors to inform the operator whether doors are open or closed.
• Double effect actuators that prevent the opening of the door.
• Safety grids and plates : for either operator safety or object retention.
